National Children’s Dental Health Month 2017

You wouldn’t normally think about calling February an exciting month, but we just can’t help it. And we’re not just talking about the surprise summer weather. 🙂

Since February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, the team here at Living Well Dental Group makes an extra special effort to spread the world about great oral hygiene habits. Especially to the little ones. Over the course of the month, we visited five different schools and talked to almost 500 kids aged preschool-1st grade.

You may know by now that we’re pretty big Star Wars fans, and so our presentation, Sugar Wars, helped the kids feel like valiant Jedi Knights, fighting the evil Sugar Bugs. With the help of Jedi Andrea and Princess Katie, we showed them all how to brush and floss and taught them why they are so important to a healthy smile.

As always, we had a lot of fun, and look forward to next year. We especially loved the thank you note we got from one of the classes. So cute!

We also got to spend an evening at one of the Kane County Cougar games with our patients to celebrate our patient appreciation day in August!
