Local School Presentations

Every February, our team takes time out of the office to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month. We visit schools all over Naperville, and the surrounding communities.

During the visits, Dr. Wells and his team teach youngsters the basics of dental hygiene using themed, and frequently costumed, presentations.

For the youngest pre-school-aged learners, “Tooth Fairies” focuses on things like the number of teeth (20), how often and how long you should brush (the magic number 2), and the right amount of toothpaste (pinky nail sized).

For both 1st and 2nd graders, Sugar Wars is an exciting space adventure that explores cavity prevention, brushing/flossing technique, and healthy snacking. For the same age group, Cavity Busters, a hilarious sing-along session, looks at the importance of fluoride to help bust those cavities.

Especially designed for 2nd grade kids, a caped hero presentation prepares them for the possibility of braces and the best way to prevent cavities. It also covers great ways to keep their body and mouth healthy.

The whole Living Well Dental Group team gets in on the fun, with 2 or 3 hygienists joining Dr. Wells on his visits. Also dressed in costume, they entertain and inform students with their games and songs. Who knew learning about teeth could be so much fun?

In 2019, we visited 6 different schools, giving presentations to over 1,200 local students.

In 2020, we’re also visiting 6 schools. Check and see if your school is on the list!
